The sights, the sounds
of Thanksgiving,
will soon be ringing in our ears;
Folks coming forth to gather,
Latest news from family, to hear.
Good food and merriment,
time cherished and well spent.
A full Autumn harvest, in the heart,
with loving and caring intent.
Pumpkin pies fill the table,
along with turkey, dressing, apple crisp;
banquets fit for kings,
and hoping that no one will miss.
Sowing seeds of love,
served upon each and every plate.
Good cheer and happy reunions,
travelers in all states.
May blessings of cheer abound,
in the old fashioned ways.
May heart appetites be filled,
for all,
and prayers of thankfulness, too,
on a special Thanksgiving Day.

But, we had to celebrate and be glad,
because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. ~ Luke 15:32 |
