While traveling down the road of life A lovely garden beckoned to me The beauty of nature all around Bedecked with His purity Located in a shadowy glen Yet so easy to find from the road A gentle stream flowed quietly With crystal waters clear and cold A feeling of peace surrounded me Such joy, I had never felt I knew that I had found a place Where only the righteous dwelt I realized this was a path Where many before me had trod For this was the road to Paradise Carved into existence by God Before I left that peaceful place Jesus became a life-long Friend He will be right there beside me If I serve and follow Him No matter how rough or heavy the load There's a blessing of love without end On a little path in a shady nook Waiting for you just around the bend Kathleen McCoy Eldridge© August 15, 2007 All Rights Reserved
