A couple old and lonely
Knowing the end was near
Sat on the porch just rocking
Holding hands so dear



A house once filled with laughter
Was empty now, save two
Family and friends gone long ago
Heaven's wondrous beauty to view



Now those rocking chairs sit empty
Moving softly with the wind
Two souls have gone to Heaven
Life's journey now at end



On that beautiful, golden shore
They were held in God's embrace
Now walking on Heaven's road
Blessed by His sweet grace
