Meet Jo Ann Kelly, Joyce C. Lock and Betty Jo Mings!

Jo Ann (J.P.) Kelly

I'm a retired Legal Secretary who loves to write for the Lord and share His Word with others. My husband, Dave, and I are from West Tennessee and we'll be married 44 years this August. We have three children and two grandchildren the Lord has blessed us with. My first love is the Lord and working for Him. I have several internet lists and send devotionals and poetry to subscribers in many countries. My writings have also been shared by several Christian websites and publications for the last few years. I give God glory for all He has done in our lives. I'd also like to thank my internet friends and family for their encouragment.

I am involved in the music ministry of the church we attend where I've taught a small Bible class for several years. I also enjoy writing gospel songs. My favorite past time is the study of God's Word. My goal is to share the love of God and His plan for our lives and to encourage and exhort others in Christ. Together, we can reach the harvest for the Lord. One of my favorite Scriptures is Romans 8: 28

Thank you, Kathleen, for sharing my work and that of others. May God bless each one of you is my prayer.

Joyce's writings encourage us in our relationship with God and each other.

Betty Jo Mings

Betty Jo lives in Garden Grove, California, with Rowland, her husband of almost 60 years. She has three children and six grandchildren who all love the Lord. She started writing poems as a child, about the same time she received God's gift of eternal life.

Her poems have been published in numerous magazines such as Child Evangelism, Heartlight, S.O.L.O., Bible Advocate, and international publications such as Apuntes Pastorales Magazine. Her poems have also been featured in books, newspapers, and other periodicals, as well as dozens of sites on the Internet. She was recently inducted into the Aviation Poetry Hall of Fame. For many years she sold personal Custom Poems, written for special occasions, as well as poems in decorated frames sold in Bookstores.

After an enthusiastic reception of her first book, "Poems for the Common Man," readers wanted more of these down-to-earth, compassionate, and encouraging poems. A new book has just been published titled "More Poems for the Common Man," This new volume combines not only her meaningful poetry, but also some humorous glimpses at life, and engaging essays for daily living.

You will not find esoteric verse expounding the virtues of some obtuse philosophy. What you will find are simple, thoughtful insights into life's daily journey by a fellow sojourner, which comfort and bless the common man. These are writings which empathize with real people, while offering hope and reassurance as they point us to the ultimate provider of compassion and love-the Lord of Glory.

Having recently become an octogenarian, Betty Jo continues to write poems that come straight from her heart-poems which honor and reflect her love for the Lord.

Her writings are also available on her personal Website:
