2 Large Onions - Sliced* Finely Crush Regular (not flavored) Potato Chips 2 lbs. Shredded Cheddar Cheese 2 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup

      Separate onion rings and put one layer in the bottom of a casserole dish. Add a layer of potato chips and a layer of cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used. Cover with the cream of mushroom soup.

      Cover and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.

      This makes an excellent side dish for any meal and is very good reheated

      *I find that Vidalia onions work best but this can be made with other types of onions.
