We drove a country road today,
In late November weather.
The sky and trees were dark and gray,
Few birds flocked together.
The cattle huddled in the fields,
Against the chilling wind.
Black gray clouds rushed overhead,
Showing Winter's here again.
The farms that were so picturesque,
Just a few short weeks ago.
Now have a dark and somber look,
As if to tell us go.
This gray November afternoon,
Still thrills us for a reason.
We remember that God promised,
We would always have Four Seasons.
