The house that's only standing there, Does not make it a home, It's empty, soundless, no laughter in its air, In every room you roam, It takes a family moving in, With lots of love and care, Morning talks, with song and, Laughter here and there. The love of Father and Mother, That the children see, For what they learn within these walls, They learned from you and me. We must teach them the Word of God, For this is as it should be, For if you as a family, Pray to him morning and night. A solid foundation, You have built, And will follow, Through out their life. ©Helen Hummel January 15, 2002 Used With Permission All Rights Reserved By Author Website Mail
