When I am feeling alone and blue, And my smile becomes a frown, I turn to a Friend who's tried and true! He will never let me down! My Friend, Jesus knows my every thought. By Him even my actions are weighed. Praise God my soul has been blood bought! On Calvary's hill the price He paid! Though I may not always understand, Why some things must be, I place my life in His strong hand, Knowing He will care for me! I need not fear what man can do, For Jesus is my Shield against all foes! He promised He would see me through, Until time's curtain shall close! I've never had a Friend before, Who is so loving, kind, and good! His love will last forevermore! He promised me it would! Someday my tent down here I'll fold, When it's time for this pilgrim to go. Then I shall walk the streets of gold, In a garment as white as snow! Ah, on this one thing I can depend, I shall not walk alone! For hand in hand with Jesus, my Friend, I'll be headin' toward God's throne! ©Robert F. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
