My mind is blank, so is the paper
Oh Lord I search for inspiration
Will you lend an ear this way
Help me to find the words I pray

My life is full of love for you
But somehow I need to view
The wondrous love that you give
To save me, give me reason to live.

Lift me up above the clouds
Up from the fog that crowds
Clear out my mind, open my eyes
To look beyond the skies.

My friends all rally round me
In an effort to help me abound
To have the loss of tears and pain
To be happy and myself again.

Oh this may be a master plan
A time when I have to ask
Why do my thoughts stand still
How long will this last?

If old satan could have his way
I would never write another day
But over me he has no power
Thy sword and shield are my provider.

I don't know why I hesitate
Let's get the prose going in gait
The words will come easy to me
When I realize the fight is complete.

Thank you Lord for giving help
And being there to intercept
I will take it from here and complete
And lay this gift of prose at your feet.

Psalms 34: 6 ~ 9

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
