She was the dearest woman full of love With a twinkle in her eyes, Her faith and courage came from God above. Her demeanor was never a guise. She led a very difficult life Often, full of hardship and strife. A disabled husband and seven children if you please. And every single one of them full-blooded Portuguese. Always willing to share whatever she had. And being able to help someone in need made her glad. I didn't get to meet her until I married her youngest son. Out of them all He was the best one. She treated me like one of her own. She was indeed, the Mother I had never known. I thank you, Dear Lord, and as usual am in awe. That you chose for me such a wonderful Mother-in-law. I know you took her home with you to dwell. And left me only with a memory of lovely Estelle. ©Carol G. (Cali) Oliver April 5, 2008 Used With Permission All Rights Reserved By Author Website Mail
